Driving Schools acknowledge the impact of COVID-19 pandemic in the country, particularly in the workplace, we also appreciate the fact that this pandemic is not just threatening our physical health, result also our mental and social being. As we continue our operations, Driving Schools committed to address the challenges posed by COVID-19 pandemic through all aspects of its core business. It is a firm stand aimed at minimising health and safety risks, as well as negative social, economic and developmental impact to driving schools and its employees.
Therefore, in order to ensure compliance with WHO (World Health Organisation), Department of Health and Government’s directive to mitigate and contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the workplace, the following measures will be taken and enforced with immediate effect, applicable to all staff members, clients, leaners and all who interact with Driving Schools employees for work related purposes:
- Every individual who access Driving Schools premises i.e. offices will do so through appointment, so as to allow planning and management of the number of people accessing the building per unit time.
- Screening will apply to every trainee in order to ascertain travel history to high risk provinces, any contact with COVID-19 confirmed case, symptoms for fever, cough and difficulty in breathing, loss of taste etc.
- Face to face lessons must be conducted according to strict schedule and supervision in order to avoid over-crowding of training venues.
- 70% Alcohol based hand sanitizers must be made available for every individual accessing the offices.
- Every instructor and office employee must be issued with a face mask, own hand sanitizer. Also, sanitisers to be made available for each and every truck to allow trainees to sanitize their hands.
- Every learner and instructor must sanitize their hands before starting with driving lessons, and all key touch points on the truck be fully sanitized before every lesson commences.
- Social distancing to be enforced, only one learner and one instructor will be allowed per truck per hour and must both wear face masks at all times.
- Learners and staff members to be briefed and familiarised with the above before starting with the training.
